Ticket Holders Terms of Use
All sessions start on the hour and are 50 minutes in length. If there is no flood, the skater receives a bonus of 10 minutes. Any extra time taken by the skater after their hour, up to 30 minutes will be charged for 1/2 a ticket and anything after 30 minutes is one extra ticket. If a skater started their first hour late, i.e. 7:10AM, the extra time will be calculated from 8:00AM and not 8:10AM. Many parents/skaters may not be aware that skaters skating more than their one hour will have 1/2 a ticket taken for the extra session time skated. Most of the skaters who skate 1 1/4 – 1 1/2 hours write the time they finish skating on the day sheet clipboard. This is also verified with the video replay system. All ticket numbers are recorded next to the signature on the day sheet by our office as an extra precaution. Ticket holders are receiving reduced rates for their ice time and skaters without tickets who pay the full fee do not receive the same privileges as ticket holders. All books of tickets are non-transferable/non-refundable and are issued to one skater only.
Skaters must continue to write their signature in full (first & last name) and check mark in the session time box on the clipboard, but there is no need to write the time they step on the ice, as they will only need to ‘check mark’ their first session skated and write the time they finish skating in the next session hour box if they are skating past their hour. Skaters who consistently skate odd times and don’t adhere to starting their session on the hour will have their skating privileges terminated. Skaters who wish to negotiate starting their session on the half hour for one hour of skating, must register with the skating office at the beginning of the season, otherwise they will have their skating privileges terminated. Any change of a skater’s schedule must inform the office before they skate their new schedule.
People are abusing the ‘ticket’ facility and our administration can’t & won’t tolerate the situation. It’s a privilege to purchase tickets as the ice time is less expensive and non-ticket holders skating extra time will pay for an extra session, and not just for the time on the ice. Any skater not signing in on the clipboard will be billed @ $15 per session. Returned cheques will be charged $30 for the service. All skaters/parents must keep an accurate record of the skater’s use, i.e. date & times of sessions skated.
Coaches – please inform all of your skaters using our facility of the terms of use for the ticket ice, as we can’t be responsible for skaters that will be billed @ $15 per session who do not conform.
All ticket ice fees/books are HST included and fees will stay the same as the last season. Skaters/parents must keep a record of session dates and times skated, including extra time taken.
Skaters purchasing ticket books must complete a registration form (one time only), which can be acquired by contacting info@gtaskating.ca.
