Singapore Virtual Airlines Group Performance - April 2010

Author: admin  |  Category: Virtual Airline News

Hello Pilots and Fellow VA Staff,

The Singapore Virtual Airlines Group is once again happy to announce our monthly performance for the month of April. We are pleased to be consistently seeing growth and strong activity from our pilots, which tells a lot about the overall management of the VA in making this VA Group a very healthy one, across all 4 divisions. The launch of our 4th division this month, Tiger Airways Virtual, has been a long-awaited milestone for us. We are very satisfied with it’s slow, yet steady growth in its infant stage, and we believe we can do better over the coming months. After all, our focus is ultimately on the parent division, Singapore Virtual Airlines. We are also pleased to be the top VA in terms of hours flown, now at 11368.9 hours, overtaking many of the VAs that were here before us. However, we will never be complacent and take things for granted, but will always strive to do better and better for the future of our pilots and the Group.

During the month of April, the VA Group also participated in an event organised by Singapore vACC on VATSIM, titled “The Singapore Frenzy”, it was enjoyable to all who participated. Other events we participated include “Victory in Mactan” organised by Manila vACC, and VATSIM Pakistan FIR’s opening groupflight. That makes 3 events this month. The VA Group has made it a commitment to organise a groupflight once every month, which would last no more than 2 hours, since the beginning of this year. Our pilots have always been excited about these groupflights and events, and have shown great participation in such activities. We warmly welcome any other VA here on Simmiles to join us in our groupflights, the more the merrier.

Statistics for Singapore Virtual ONLY - April 2010

Gain in Assets: $31,179,083.64

Hours Flown: 1278.8 Hours

No. of Flights Flown: 216

No. of Passengers Carried: 79,439

No. of Aircraft Added: 1

No. of Scheduled Flights Added: 2

Average Hours Per Flight: 5.92 Hours

Starting next month, we will also be publishing combined statistics for all divisions in the Group, to give a more accurate figure of our overall performance, as our operations are not based on Singapore Virtual alone, therefore publishing statistics for Singapore Virtual alone may not be a good indication. The other 3 divisions, namely Singapore Airlines Cargo Virtual, Silkair Virtual, Tiger Airways Virtual are also reporting strong growth and activity, especially Silkair Virtual, thus it would be good to recognise that as well. We would like to thank this small yet committed pool of pilots that we have, who have helped to develop our 4 divisions to be what they are today.

Warmest Regards,

Lester Lee

American Virtual Airlines | Qantas Virtual Airways

American Virtual Airlines is proud to announce our new full codeshare company merger with Qantas Virtual Airways. What this means is that our pilots wil be able to Qantas routes, as vice verse with Qantas staff and pilots. This means that profit will be shared amoungst both airlines, providing profit on each side. We will be able to share good ideas, great pilots, and overall a great aviation industry. We will be sharing our families with one another, being able to open up and gain from other things, as well as vice versa with Qantas. We will be fully merging soon, and for all other virtual airlines within the vicinity of the simmiles network would like to have a codeshare merger or a complete codeshare with American Virtual Airlines, we advise you to do it know. Qantas is a very stable airline, as American will be very soon. Qantas has the efforts and details that American Virtual Airlines has been looking for to merge with. Great pilots, great staff, great routes, a dedicated system, and overall, a very great virtual airline. Qantas has been dedicated to serving two years on the simmiles network, as American looks forward to doing also. We look forward to growing together with Qantas, and being able to share the colors in the sky. Singapore Virtual Airlines & SINvACC announces “WSSS Real OPS Event 2009″

Author: admin  |  Category: Virtual Airline News

WSSS Real OPS Event 2009

Singapore Virtual Airlines & SilkAir Virtual along with SINvACC FIR of VATSIM proudly presents Singapore’s ”WSSS Real OPS Event 2009“.  We are very excited about this event and anxiously await for event day.  The Real OPS Event site is now available for booking your flights.

There are 45 passenger & cargo haulers represented with over 200 departures and over 190 arrivals for this 12 hour event which, is in-line with the real world operations of ”Changi Intl. Airport” in BEAUTIFUL Singapore.

If your VA is not represented in the schedules you are very WELCOME to join us in this event and fly your VA’s colors.  If you do not book a flight you are also very WELCOME to participate in this event with us.  We expect to be busy so non-booked flights can expect delays due to priority given to booked flights.  Even so, the controllers will expedite all un-booked flights as quickly as they can.  We want to make this fun for everyone.

There are many 1-2 hour flights available to and from WSSS.  This allows pilots the option to book and fly more than one flight if one so desires and we encourage it.

Since this event falls on the second day of the 10 day long “2009 Singapore Food Festival”, sit back, relax and partake in some authentic Peranakan food.  Take a walk on the Singapore River Market or go chase the Nonya Mobile Peranakan Meals on Wheels and enjoy some Bak Chang rice dumplings or maybe a pineapple tart with a cup of Singapore coffee.

We hope you will come and join us.  If you have any question you can E-Mail us.

Regards,

WSSS Real OPS Event Staff

The new address for Air Pacific Virtual Airlines is now located at http://airpacific.simmiles.com

If you are interested in becoming the CEO of Air Pacific Virtual Airlines then please contact Jason Lonsdale at jason@simmiles.com and send your resume.

Air New Zealand Re-Launched!!!

Author: Tony Kovacs  |  Category: Virtual Airline News

Air New Zealand Virtual Airlines has relaunched itself again with a new web site.  We are currently engaging in advertising Air New Zealand Virtual Airlines in forums and flight simulator directories around the VATSIM community.  We are hoping to find at least 10 active pilots within the next 3 months.  The enrollment by locals from VATNZ has not been as successful when the Virtual Airline was launched in August of 2008 but we are hoping that with the new web site, flights and advertising that we can appeal to pilots all around the world instead of just being focused on the local simmers market in New Zealand. This year Air New Zealand Virtual has placed the focus on adding in more A320 routes, specifically from our secondary hub in Wellington to flights to Melbourne and Sydney. More to follow…..
