Air Traffic Control Simulator and Simulation on the SimMiles Network

Author: admin  |  Category: Uncategorized

Government Agencies and Government contractors have started to test Air Traffic Control Simulator software on the SimMiles network for simulation evaluation.  Periodically Air Traffic Control and pilot client connections will be made to the servers.  Some of these positions both ATC and aircraft may be manned while others may not be.  The times and locations of these tests will NOT be posted publically, however they will also not interefere with Virtual Airline operations on the network.

The SimMiles Flight Simulation server is designed to guarantee member Virtual Airline pilots a network to fly on use to complete virtual airline flights and this will not change.  It is possible that while you are on the SimMiles network that you may come in contact with Air Traffic Control and asked to participate as a simulated pilot.  You are NOT required to partipate or even respond to any communication by Air Traffic Controllers if you do not wish to participate and there will be no consequence to this.  If you choose to participate you will be restricted to only use private text since the voice server and software used for ATC communications is not available publically at this time.

In the future it is possible that Air Traffic Control services on a regular basis in selected countries may be introduced and offered, however at this point access to connecting to the network as ATC is restricted to authorized 3rd party groups.
