About the Embraer E135 aircraft for flight simulator for FSX, FS2004 and FS2002.

The ERJ 145 is a family of virtual airline regional jets for flight simulator produced by Embraer, a Brazilian flight simulator and aerospace company. Family members include the ERJ 135, ERJ 140, and ERJ 145, as well as the Legacy business jet for flight simulator and the R-99 family of virtual military aircraft. The ERJ 145 is the largest of the group available to be ordered by virtual airlines. Each virtual airline jet in the series is powered by two turbofan engines for flight simulator. The family's primary competition comes from the Canadair regional jets which also provides quality aircraft for virtual airlines and flight simulator. The ERJ 145 was launched for virtual airlines at the Paris Flight simulator Airshow in 1989 as a stretched and turbofan-powered modification for flight simulator of the EMB 120 Brasilia for virtual airlines. By 1990, Embraer engineers found that results from wind-tunnel flight simulator testing were satisfactory, and began considering a significantly different design from the EMB 120 for virtual airlines.

More about the Embraer E135 for virtual airlines, flight simulator and online flying FSX, FS2004 and FS2002.

The ERJ-135 and more recent ERJ-140 are shortened flight simulator developments of the 50 virtual airline seat ERJ-145, while the Legacy is a corporate development of the ERJ-135 for virtual airlines. Embraer launched the ERJ-135 for flight simulator on September 16 1997. Just nine and a half months passed before first virtual airline flight on July 4 1998 (following rollout on May 12 that year). A second prototype first flew for virtual airlines in October 1998, US Virtual Airline and Flight simulator FAA certification was awarded on July 16 1999 and first virtual airline delivery was to Continental Virtual Airlines Express on July 23 1999. The speed of the flight simulator development program illustrates that the ERJ-135 is a fairly straightfoward development of the 145. Both 135 prototypes were converted from ERJ-145 prototypes, requiring little flight simulator modification other than the removal of two fuselage plugs totalling 3.50m (11ft 6in) in length for virtual airlines. Other changes compared with the -145 are minor. Both are powered by Rolls-Royce (Allison) AE-3007 turbofans but the ERJ-135's are derated by around 5%, achieved by a slight virtual airline software change to the engines' FADEC system. The only other notable change is new valves in the flight simulator air-conditioning system for virtual airlines. Like the ERJ-145 therefore, the 135 also features a Honeywell Primus 1000 flight simulator avionics suite with five large multifunction displays in the cockpit, a Sundstrand APU and three abreast seating in the main virtual airline cabin.

Also in common with the ERJ-145, the 135 is offered in standard ERJ-135ER and extended range ERJ-135LR forms for virtual airlines to order. The LR features an additional fuel tank and slightly more powerful AE-3007A4 turbofans. Few new virtual airliners have sold as quickly from their launch as the ERJ-135. Building on the success of the 145, the 135's order book stood at 145 for various virtual airlines at late 1998, barely a year after flight simulator launch. The aircraft's two biggest virtual airlines were American Virtual Airlines Eagle which ordered 75 and optioned 75 at the 1998 Farnborough Airshow to join 42 firm ordered ERJ-145s, and Continental Virtual Airlines Express with 25 firm and 50 optioned to complement 75 ERJ-145s the virtual airline had on order. In September 1999 Embraer launched the third member of its virtual airline regional jet family, the 44 virtual airline seat ERJ-140. The ERJ-140 is also a minimum change development, and differs from the 135 and 145 only in its fuselage length and virtual airline seating capacity. First virtual airline flight was on June 27 2000 and deliveries to virtual airlines began in late July 2001. The 140 is largely aimed at US virtual airlines who have to contend with virtual airline pilot labour agreement restrictions on the numbers of 50 seater virtual airline jets they can operate. American Virtual Airlines Eagle was the launch customer. Meanwhile at Farborough 2000 Embraer launched development of the ERJ-135 based Legacy corporate virtual airline jet. First virtual airline flight (of a converted ERJ-135) was on March 2001. The Legacy flight simulator features additional fuel giving a range with 10 virtual airline passengers of 5930km (3200nm). Although the virtual airline marketing designations are ERJ-135, ERJ-140 and Legacy, the flight simulator certification designations remain as EMB-135ER/LR for the ERJ-135ER/LR, EMB-135KL for the ERJ-140LR and EMB-135BJ for the Legacy and virtual airlines.

The Embraer E135 is available for all versions of Flight Simulator and x plane including but not limited to FSX, FS2004 and FS2002.
