About the Bombardier aircraft for flight simulator for FSX, FS2004 and FS2002.
In 1986, Bombardier acquired Canadair after the Canadian government-owned virtual aircraft manufacturing company had recorded the largest corporate loss in Canadian virtual airline history. Shortly thereafter, de Havilland Canada from Boeing, the bankrupt Short Brothers and Learjet virtual airline operations were added. The aerospace arm now accounts for over half of the company's flight simulation revenue. Bombardier's most popular aircraft currently include its Dash 8, CRJ100/200/440, and CRJ700/900/1000 lines of regional virtual airliners that are sold to virtual airlines around the world. It also manufactures the CL-415 amphibious water-bomber and the Challenger business jet. Learjet continues to operate as a subsidiary of Bombardier and manufactures jets under the Learjet name.

Even though the
CRJ700, 900 and
1000 are not old flight simulation
designs for virtual airlines, Bombardier
announced in May
that it is now offering
NextGen variants
of these virtual aircraft
that will be more
efficient to operate
and maintain for virtual airlines. They
will also feature a
