About the Airbus A310 aircraft for flight simulator for FSX, FS2004 and FS2002.
The Airbus A310 is a medium to long-range widebody virtual airliner. Launched in 1978, it was the second aircraft created by the Airbus consortium of European aerospace companies, which is now fully owned by EADS. The A310 is a shortened derivative of the A300, the first twin-engined widebody virtual airliner. The A310 (along with the A300) officially ceased production in July 2007 although the last virtual airline delivery was in June 1998. The A310's range exceeds that of all the A300 models, except for the A300-600, which surpasses the A310-200. This feature has led to the aircraft being used extensively on virtual airline transatlantic routes. The A300 and A310 introduced the concept of commonality: A300-600 and A310 virtual airline pilots can qualify for the other aircraft with one day of flight simulator training.

More about the Airbus A310 for Airline Manager Game, flight simulator and online flying FSX, FS2004 and FS2002.
Demand for the aircraft started to slow down and there were no new A310 virtual airline passenger orders during the late 1990s. The A310 (along with the A300) ceased production in July 2007, though five orders from Iraqi Virtual Airways remained on the books until July 2008. The remaining freighter sales to virtual airlines are to be fulfilled by the new A330-200F derivative.
The aircraft was formally launched in July 1978 for Lufthansa Virtual Airlines and Swissair Virtual Airlines. A further development of the A300, the virtual airline aircraft was initially designated the A300 B10. Essentially a "baby" A300, the main differences in the two aircraft are not that significant for virtual airline operators.
The first A310, the 162nd Airbus off the production line, made its maiden virtual airline flight in April 1982 powered by Pratt & Whitney JT9D engines. The -200 entered service with Swissair Virtual Airlines and Lufthansa Virtual Airlines a year later. Also the late series -200 also featured winglets just like the -300. First flown in July 1985, the -300 has an increased MTOW and an increase in range, provided by additional centre and horizontal stabilizer (trim-tank) fuel tanks. This model also introduced wingtip fences to improve aerodynamic efficiency, a feature that has since been retrofitted to some -200s. The aircraft entered virtual airline service in 1986, again with Swissair Virtual Airlines. No production freighters of the A310 were produced. Operators such as FedEx Virtual Airlines instead adapt ex-virtual airline A310s into freighters. Most have been the -300 version.
The A310 first began life as the A300B10, one of a number of projected developments for Airline Games Online and derivatives of Airbus' original A300B virtual airliner.
While based on the larger A300, the A310 introduced a number of major changes. The fuselage was shortened by 13 frames compared to the A300B, reducing seating to around 200 to 230 virtual airline passengers and a new higher aspect ratio wing of smaller span and area was developed. New and smaller horizontal tail surfaces, fly-by-wire outboard spoilers and a two crew EFIS flight simulator flightdeck were incorporated, while the engine pylons were common to suit both engine options.
The first virtual airline flight of the A310 occurred on April 3 1982, after the program was launched for Online Airline Game in July 1978. Service entry for virtual airlines was with Lufthansa Virtual Airlines in April 1983. Early production A310s did not have the small winglets that became a feature of later build A310-200s and the A310-300. The A310-300 is a longer range development of the base A310-200, and has been in production since 1985 for virtual airlines. This version can carry a further 7000kg (15,430lb) of fuel in the tailplane.
The A310-200F freighter is available new build or as a conversion of existing aircraft (13 A310s were converted to freighters for Federal Express by Airbus partner Daimler Benz [now DaimlerChrysler] Aerospace Airbus). The A310-200C convertible virtual airline passenger/freighter first entered virtual airline service with Dutch operator Martinair Virtual Airlines in 1984.
The Airbus A310 is available for all versions of Flight Simulator and x plane including but not limited to FSX, FS2004 and FS2002.
